There’s always something interesting happening in Canberra. Floriade (12 September-11 October) not only offers well-planned and magnificent flower displays, but there’s children’s entertainment and workshops there too, and cooking demonstrations and opportunities to learn more about the Dreamtime story of the Rainbow Serpent and Ngunnawal land. And there’s small specialty shops and an array of food and drinks options. Other highlights include cooking demonstrations from some of Australia’s highly-renowned chefs including Simon Bryant, creative director of Tasting Australia and host of the ABC’s The Cook and The Chef, and Head Chef, Will Moyle, who’ll be sharing some tips on the flavours of Italy.
